When you receive your morning forecasts, you may see quite a few boxes colored as yellow and red. No, your threat matrix hasn’t had a food fight, spraying ketchup and mustard everywhere. It means your weather thresholds will likely be reached today, tomorrow, or later in the week.
Read your planner thoroughly and carefully. Understand what specific weather phenomena is expected on site. After interpreting your Daily Planner and Weather Check, you may want to start the preliminary steps for your company’s weather safety plan. This procedure may include contacting a forecaster as mentioned above.
Before calling, please have the following information ready:
- Your name
- Your Company name and the Event name if relevant
- The location of your Event
Having this information will help our forecast team to quickly identify what specific weather threats you may anticipate throughout the day. While on the call, provide information about your particular site. For example, if your site is more prone to winds out of a specific direction or your equipment is extremely sensitive to liquids, our forecasters can take this information into account and make accurate assessments to help you in the long run.
